Website lists 2 Philippine airports among best in Asia

MANILA, Philippines — Airport sleepers’ guide and resource website sleepinginairports.net has listed two Philippine airports as among the best in Asia for 2019.

Making it to the website’s top 20 Best Airports in Asia for 2019 are the Mactan-Cebu International Airport, which came in at No. 16, and Iloilo International Airport at No. 18.

Resource website sleepinginairports.net has ranked Mactan-Cebu International Airport at No. 16 and Iloilo International Airport at No. 18 in its 20 Best Airports in Asia list for 2019. Topping the list is Singapore’s Changi Airport.

Completing the best Asian airports list are Seoul Incheon, Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, Taipei Taoyuan, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, New Delhi, Jakarta, Tokyo Haneda, Mumbai, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Bangalore, Ho Chi Minh City Tan Son Nhat, Hyderabad, Da Nang, Islamabad and Kunming.

Changi Airport also topped the overall Best Airports of 2019 list,
followed by airports in Seoul Incheon, Helsinki, Tokyo Narita, Osaka Kansai, Taipei Taoyuan, Vancouver, Munich, Hong Kong and Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, making it to the website’s Worst Airports of 2019 list are Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia; New York City LaGuardia Airport, US; London Stansted Airport, England; Juba International Airport, Sudan; Santorini International Airport, Greece; Cairo International Airport, Egypt; Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, Ethiopia; Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Bangladesh; Murtala Muhammed (Lagos) International Airport, Nigeria; and London Luton Airport, England.

Sleepinginairports.net, which was founded in 1996, ranks their Best and Worst airports from an annual survey submitted by readers rating their airport experiences based on factors such as comfort, services, facilities and things to do, food options, immigration and security, customer service, navigation and ease of transit, cleanliness and sleepability.
