Director Marissa Cerezo has been working in the energy sector for more than 25 years. She was appointed as Director IV of the Renewable Energy Management Bureau (REMB) on 11 January 2023.

Director Cerezo oversees the implementation of the Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (RE Act) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations as well as development of new policies and strategies to meet the objectives of the RE Act through greater promotion, exploration, commercialization, and utilization of RE and promotion of the biofuels program in the country.

Before her assignment as Director of REMB, she served as Assistant Director to the same bureau for almost 10 years. She was among those who led in the formulation of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) 2020-2040 and implementation of various RE Policy Mechanisms such as Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP), Green Energy Option Program (GEOP), RE Market, Feed-In-Tariff and Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS), among others.

She serves as DOE’s official representative to various international events such as to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), APEC Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technology (EGNRET), ASEAN Renewable Energy-Sub Sector Network (RE-SSN). She is also the alternate representative to the Philippine National Oil Company – Renewables Corporation (PNOC-RC) Board. Director Cerezo graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Geology and Bachelor of Laws in 1991 and 2003, respectively.

Ms. Charmaine Olea-Capili is the executive director of the Philippine Nickel Industry Association (PNIA) since 2017.

Ms. Olea-Capili has more than 20 years of professional experience in public administration, policy, development, public affairs, stakeholder relations, and communications.

Before joining PNIA, Ms. Olea-Capili has worked for more than a decade in government service, which entails extensive policy advocacy, project management, public relations, and communications work for agencies and programs under the Office of the President of the Philippines (OP).

She also served as director for public affairs and government relations of Mindbench Philippines, a specialized consultancy firm that represents European companies in the defense, security and aerospace sector. She was also a senior public affairs officer of EON The Stakeholder Relations Group, which is the largest PR agency in the Philippines and the local affiliate of Edelman PR. In EON, she designed strategies and orchestrated campaigns for top multinational and local companies in highly regulated sectors such as mining, healthcare, public utility, consumer, manufacturing, and property development.

Ms. Olea-Capili earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, major in Marketing, from the Ateneo de Davao University in 1999 and her Master’s Degree in Political Economy from the University of the Asia and the Pacific in 2024.

He is the founder of the Library Renewal Partnership which has helped build over 1000 libraries in the Philippines and overseas, and an author of 3 books in poetry and prose.

Quintin is a fellow of the Asia Society, was named among the US-ASEAN business council’s young leaders, and is on the board of the Georgetown and Oxbridge Alumni Clubs of the Philippines
