Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project Gets Greenlight from MWSS
Wawa JVCo was given the final approval by The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) for its Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project.
The approval was made by the MWSS Board of Trustees during the MWSS Board meeting held on 14 November 2019 following the favorable opinion given by the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel (OGCC) last 07 November 2019.
“As promised to the public, the Board has already given its final approval for the Wawa Bulk Water Project. This is good news for everyone, not only for the proponents and stakeholders, but more importantly for the greater Metro Manila area in the coming years.” MWSS Chairman Velasco said.
Wawa JVCo is a joint venture of Enrique Razon’s Prime Metroline Infrastructure Holdings Corporation (Prime Infra) and Oscar Violago’s San Lorenzo Ruiz Builders Group (SLRB).
The Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project will supply 80 Millions of Liters Per Day (MLD) in 2021 and more than 500 MLD four years later and is expected to help address the recurring water supply problem of more than half a million households in Metro Manila.
