The private and public sectors show that they are all-in with regards to solving the country’s worsening traffic situation at The Roads & Traffic Expo Philippines.

The two-day event, held from October 1 to 2 at the SMX Convention Center in Mall Of Asia, Pasay City, brings together government agencies, local government units, businesses, and other stakeholders to address the root causes of the country’s hellish traffic, which is considered the worst in the world according to a 2016 Waze survey.

The Roads & Traffic Expo Philippines 2019 opened with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony with representatives from Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Angkas, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Terrapinn and more.

Keynote speeches were delivered by: Mark Richmund de Leon, OIC – Undersecretary for Road Transport & Infrastructure from the Department of Transportation (DOTr); Dr. Maria Catalina E. Cabral, Undersecretary for Planning and PPP of DPWH; Danilo Lim, Chairman of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and; Dominique Rubia-Tutay, Director IV, Bureau of Local Employment, Department of Labor & Employment (DOLE).

Over 100 exhibitors from across Asia and around the world are participating in the two-day expo to showcase the latest technology solutions–from road lights and reflectorized signs to electric motorcycles and modern jeepneys, including one that’s PWD-friendly (Person with Disability-friendly).

The Roads & Traffic Expo Philippines is made possible through the partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT), DOTr, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), the MMDA, and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
