Donna Kuizon Cruz graduated Magna Cum-Laude and the Valedictorian of her batch at the College of Science in the University of Sto. Tomas, with a degree in B.S. Chemistry. She went on to top the 2000 National Chemistry Licensure Exams.

In 2001, Donna started working for Shell Philippines as a Technologist in the Tabangao oil refinery, where she received the Regional VP Award for successfully leading a Malampaya Gas Tie-in Project that shifted the refinery to using gas from diesel for power generation – impacting the refining margin in 2007 by U$D15M in savings annually.

She was then assigned to Malaysia for four years to work for Shell Global Solutions as a Senior Hydrocarbon Management Consultant, leading refining margin and energy efficiency improvement programs for various refineries and petrochemical plants in Asia and Africa.

Donna would return to the Philippines in 2011 as a Production Services Lead for SPEX. There she would lead an asset-wide “IPSC500” production capacity improvement program that extended the Malampaya field life and enabled the monetization of tail-end volumes worth USD 80M of gross NPV as of 2021.

Donna would then become the youngest member of the SPEX management team in 2013 as their
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Manager where she would drive Goal Zero safety delivery for the almost 400 personnel involved in Phase2/3 of the Malampaya Phase 3 Depletion Compression Project.

Donna would leave the country again for a posting in the Shell Headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands in 2017, where she served as the Business Advisor to the Executive Vice President of Upstream Operated Ventures for Shell International Exploration and Production, responsible for strategic planning and operations of the Upstream Operated Ventures leadership team comprised of senior leaders in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa.

This posting was followed by an assignment back in Shell Malaysia as Integrated Planning Manager in 2020, responsible for strategic and business planning for Shell Malaysia’s portfolio of assets in Sabah and Sarawak states.

Today, Donna Kuizon Cruz, is the first female CEO, Managing Director and General Manager of Prime Energy Resources Development B.V. where she leads the delivery of key growth projects for the SC38 Consortium – the Malampaya Deep Water Gas-to-Power Project Phase 4 – while ushering an expansion and evolution of Prime Energy’s business strategy for the future.

Donna is a woman visionary and innovator who believes in transformational leadership as key to effecting meaningful change not just in the workplace, but also the community and our country.
