The Marcos administration has commenced the construction of a low-cost rental housing project for the constituents at the University of the Philippines-Los Baños in Laguna under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, a Palace official said on Tuesday.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Ramon Aliling, Senior Undersecretary Eduardo Robles Jr., UP president Angelo Jimenez and UPLB Chancellor Dr. Jose Camacho Jr. were among the event attendees.

According to Castro, the project will have an initial 320 housing units for low-income employees and students of UPLB and informal family settlers around the university.

The 4PH Program is the government’s national housing initiative, launched to address the country’s housing backlog by building affordable, decent, and sustainable communities.
