SCG, a leading force in ASEAN’s sustainable building materials sector, showcases its latest creations at CONEX 2025 at the SMX Convention Center from April 9 to 12, 2025. Thailand Manufacturing representative Khun Chanon Sangkaew and SCG Philippines president Khun Bancha Chaiprom attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the SCG booth at CONEX 2025. SCG says its presence at CONEX 2025 is a testament to its commitment to integrating eco-friendly practices into the fabric of modern architecture.

The SMX Convention Center in Manila became a hub of innovation from April 9 to 12, 2025, as SCG, a major player in ASEAN’s sustainable building materials sector, presented its latest products.

Highlights included the launch of the SCG Smartboard Ultra and a range of stylish, environment-friendly decorative materials: SCG Modeena and SCG C-Channel.

SCG’s presence at CONEX 2025, under the theme “Sustainable Solutions, Inspired Design,” went beyond a product showcase. It underscored the company’s commitment to integrating eco-friendly practices into modern architecture. Visitors experienced how SCG’s materials aim to build not just structures but a sustainable future.

The SCG Smartboard Ultra, manufactured in Thailand using SCG’s proprietary Firm & Flex technology, was a key unveiling. The fiber cement solution is engineered for the demands of modern construction, balancing strength and flexibility for diverse applications and longevity.

“The launch of SCG Smartboard Ultra in the Philippines is an exciting step forward. We are bringing in a durable, eco-friendly, and high-quality building material that meets international standards. We’re proud to introduce this Thai innovation to the Philippines to help build stronger, smarter, and greener spaces,” said Khun Bancha, president of SCG Philippines.

A key feature of the Smartboard Ultra is its advanced Anti-Mold Technology. The innovation addresses the persistent challenges of mold and moisture damage in humid environments like the Philippines, offering protection for healthier and more resilient living spaces.

The asbestos-free Smartboard Ultra is produced through low-carbon manufacturing processes, minimizing its environmental impact. The commitment to green building standards is recognized by the EPD International certification, which attests to the product’s reduced carbon footprint.

SCG also introduced two new decorative materials combining aesthetics and sustainability: SCG Modeena and SCG C-Channel. These materials, produced using X-TRUSION technology, offer quality, durability and flexibility.
